Smart Dog® Tater Tot Skewers
1 Pack Lightlife® Smart Dogs®
1 pound bag of frozen tater tots (thawed)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper or seasoning of your choice
Ketchup and mustard for dipping
Preheat your grill to a high heat.
Slice the Smart Dogs® into three diagonal pieces. Take a long metal skewer and thread one of those pieces on to the base of the skewer. Next add a tater tot being careful not to tear it. Repeat this process until the skewer is completely filled. Once all of the skewers are ready to grill, brush them on one side with the olive oil. Season each one and place onto your hot grill. Grill for about 1-2 minutes and then turn them over and repeat. They will be done when you start to see the Smart Dogs® blister.
Serve at once with the ketchup and mustard for dipping.

I love hot dogs but I wanted a healthier alternative to them. These veggie dogs tasted great. I grilled them and it was almost like I was eating real hotdogs.
They was tasty, had a very nice texture.A must that you try them if you want to substitute it from the real meat thing.Just dress it up with your favorite toppings and they are awesome
I didn't care much for the taste. Also ,I didn't like the texture. I am more of a real meat eater. There are a lot of people that like this kind of meat, but its not for me.
I didn't care for then. They were not my thing. I guess I'm used to eating actual meat. Although if you are a vegetarian these will probably work for you.
I didn't really care for the Lightlife Smart Dogs. The texture was like any other hotdog out there but the taste reminded me too much like I was eating a vegetable. I think if it is supposed to taste like a hotdog, it should. My kiddo's did not like them either, I did not let them see the package so as to not pursue them either way. My 8 year old's exact words were "these taste very bad mom, are they expired?".
