You’d never guess this Non-Dairy Beverage is made with vegetables. Veggemo is created with pea protein for nutrition and flavour, tapioca for a creamy texture and potatoes for the milky-white colour. Veggemo contains 6g of protein per serving and is rich in calcium, Vitamin D, and is an excellent source of B12. Bananamo Bread

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) white sugar
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) baking powder
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) sunflower or other neutral tasting vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Veggemo Vanilla
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) white vinegar
  • 2 cups (500 ml) mashed very ripe bananas (about 4 large bananas)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350F/175C.

2. Sift all Dry Ingredients together.

3. Beat all Wet Ingredients together with an electric mixer until smooth. On low speed, fold in Dry Ingredients just until mixed.

4. Pour batter into parchment-paper lined loaf pans and bake until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove cake from pan and cool on wire rack.

It tasted off, kind of a mix between regular milk and soy milk. The taste was very strong. I tried the original flavour, but I think the flavoured Veggemo might be a better taste.

Excellent non-dairy milk with great taste. I really enjoyed this, it has a much better taste to it than almond milk and has a creamier texture which made it more enjoyable. It is great to put in your coffee in place of cream as well. This is my new go-to non-dairy milk

I tried veggemo non-dairy milk because my daughter has a dairy allergy. She did not like it. I tried it and it wasn’t bad. No strong tastes. I will not purchase again but only because my daughter did not approve.

The product tasted good cold but when I added it to oatmeal or a coffee curdled. It definitely was good cold on its own though and I would recommend it for that reason.
