Messy
Not sure if mine was the exception, but the product leaked out of the package before I even had the opportunity to use it /set it up. Made a giant mess on my garage floor and stunk to high heavens. Sounds great in theory and im sad I didn't actually get to grow mushrooms.

This product was easy to set up with straight forward directions. My mushrooms did grow a fair amount with minimal work. This is ideal if you need a little amount.
Super cute activity
We were really excited to try growing our own mushrooms. It seemed easy enough, and directions were easy to read. We weren't the greatest at taking care of it, so there were some techy moments. I wish we could have kept it growing longer.
Tasty fun mushroom
This kit was functional and really simple to maintain. The mushrooms were fascinating to watch grow. I picked and fried the mushrooms on day ten, and it was fantastic!

I need green thumbs
No fault of Back to the Roots, but I am not very good with sustaining live plants. I'm sure this is a great activity for a family or household or even a single individual, but I didn't have enough undivided attention for this mushroom kit.
Kids loved it
My kiddos loved to see the plant grow, they liked the idea of watering it everyday so eventually they would it the tomatoe. They like to eat it off the plant.
Easy to Grow & Fun too!
My kit/ coupon was lost in transit but i ended up finding one on Amazon. The kids and i loved it and want to try more. Great easy instructions, the mushrooms grew very fast and were delish! Take and share a pic & the company donates kits to local schools too, win-win! Will definately buy more kits!

I was very surprised at how easy this was. Everything was easy to understand. It was packaged very nice. It took some time but it grew very nice.
