I’m calling it: 2018 is going to be the year of the Everyday Influencer! After all, who would you trust more, a blogger or a friend?

Until recently, influencer marketing was all about reach and impressions: The more followers you have, the more influence you have. Those with the largest following — popular bloggers, models, and Hollywood celebrities — have typically been the ideal influencers, as their impressions are an easy measure of success. But that model is on its way out.
