Recyclable Shopping Bag

I started The Tomato Bag after discovering that the carefully chosen heirloom tomatoes I had picked up during a quick trip to the grocery store, were gashed or partially smashed when the bagger had placed all of my items into a regular bag. Disappointed, I thought, ‘there has to be a better way to get produce home.’ A few weeks later the first glimmers of the bag were starting to be seen. A bag that protects delicate fruits and vegetables, but also a grocery bag designed specifically for them. The bag has a divider that fits in the bottom that gives the bag compartments. In these sections you place produce such as tomatoes. The produce placed in these sections is protected from all sides, including the top because after you fill the compartments, you pull the attached shelf down to rest on top of the divider. Then you have a second ‘bottom’ of the bag to place more fruits and vegetables. The shelf and the divider protect the items underneath. No need to worry about an absent minded bagger putting your tomatoes on the bottom of your bag, with this bag, you want them on the bottom!
