Really enjoyed these! Tasted so yummy and it will replace black bean burger patties for me. It was easy to make and even my dad (who is a classic beef patty type of guy) liked it when he tried a bite :)

Unique Vegan Burger!
AKUA's Kelp Burgers make an interesting alternative to traditional meat patties. With 12 grams of protein, various vitamins and minerals, the burgers make a decent substitute. Though not created to mimic real beef, they are still tasty when placed on a bun with toppings and sauces. Cooking these can be somewhat tricky, so I am rating them four out of five stars.
Not so appealing
It tasted better than it looked. Although. I didn’t care for the taste. It was a little dry to me. I had to add several condiments to take care of how dry it was to me.
Not yummy - sorry, but I tried to like it....
I had trouble with this one. It was not something I had high hopes for since kelp is not great tasting to me, however thought I would give it a go. On top of that the sodium is way too high, 300+ which is higher then the total calories. That's just way too much, I might as well just have a hamburger for that much sodium. I do want to appreciate that they are NON-GMO and easy to make. The calories overall are not bad, but compared to the amount of sodium, a regular hamburger tastes MUCH better, so what's the point? While it is a win for the planet, I cannot eat something if I don't like it. I do appreciate the superfoods in it and the quality of the ingredients. The texture and taste are bad, unfortunately so I cannot recommend it.
Neeeelp - No to Kelp
So the product itself was a type of patty that had some intention but didn’t really execute what it was aiming for. I wish it tasted better and stayed together more when cooked.
Akua kelp burger-A unique planet- based option.
I recently tried the Akua Kelp Burger, and while the texture was great and the taste was good I didn’t really care for it. The kelp base is unique and a sustainable source so i appreciate that.
Tastes ok
I appreciate how this product is trying to incorporate healthy ingredients to make it healthy burger, but I couldn’t get past the Keltys. I try to pair it with a bunch of sauces and other ingredients, but the flavor still stood out to me.
Ok Burger
I was not a huge fan of AKUA kelp burger. I really wanted it to be tasty, it sounded delicious and had amazing ingredients. I just didn’t really like the taste or the look of it that much.
Not for me but my husband loved
The taste was not for me but my husband loved these so we will likely be buying them again for him to enjoy. The texture is fine just an interesting taste
If you like meat
It’s a good option as a meat substitute it’s a lot different than I thought it would taste. A lot of my family members got to try a bit and they really liked it.
