Tastes like cheese
It tastes realistic on its own. However it doesn't melt quite as nicely as regular cheese and sometimes comes off gummy in texture which wasn't the most pleasant.

Good dairy free cheese option
I tried these Daiya Mexican Blend Shreds with a rebate through Social Nature. They tasted great, but I wouldn't opt for them again simply because I'm trying to buy less processed foods for health reasons.
It's mock cheese and it does the trick
It's not cheese but it's close enough to make most people happy. Put it in your tacos or on pizza. From a health-conscious standpoint, it's not gonna win any awards, but it's not going to offend anyone either.
Good with eggs
I’m not dairy intolerant so cheese is a favorite for me. I used these with my egg scramble and they do a good job. Didn’t really taste much difference from my regular cheese. That is a good testimonial for this product.
Yumm
This cheese melts really well. But taste wise it was off. It was chalky and not great off the bag. Once I melted it in a grilled cheese sandwich, it didn't taste bad, just tasted like nothing .
Used it on chips for nachos
This worked okay on chips but the taste and texture just cannot compare to other shredded cheese. I believe it could be that it’s not salty or rich enough.
Great for dairy free but not for others
If you are specifically looking for dairy free, I would not recommend this due its lack of actual texture and taste. I felt it has an after taste
