Easy & Delicious No Bake Protein Balls

At socialnature, we love trying new products almost as much as we love sending new products to our users! Recently, the awesome team at Organika provided us with some samples of a few products and we quickly got to work figuring out how to best put them to use.

We were lucky enough to get sent a few different products including their  Organic Quinoa Powder, and their Organic Greens Powder. We quickly zoomed in on this awesome recipe for Green Power Protein Balls as it not only used both the Quinoa Powder AND the Greens Powder, but because they pack a HUGE nutritional punch of healthy fats, protein, & fibre and require zero baking. They also take only about 10 minutes to make, making this our kind of treat!

We made a few tweaks to suit our tastebuds (ahem, chocolate chips and coconut – yum!) and you can see the results below and maybe try them for yourself!

Easy and Delicious No Bake Protein Balls

Prep time: 10 minutes
Bake time: 0 minutes!
Yield: 9 golf-ball sized balls or about 18 truffle sized balls.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dark vegan chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup ground chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • 1 date
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla (or more to taste)
  • 1 Packet Organika Greens Powder (or 1 tbsp of your preferred greens powder)
  • 1 Packet Organika Quinoa Powder (or 3 tbsp of other quinoa powder)
  • 1 Pinch of sea salt
  • 1-3 tbsp of water as needed

Directions:

Blend the following ingredients together in a food processor: almond butter, peanut butter, ground chia, agave nectar, date, chia seeds, vanilla, Greens Powder, Quinoa Powder, sea salt. Blend on high until well mixed, adding a 1 tbsp as water if needed to help blend. The ideal texture is sticky but malleable.

Once blended, add chocolate chips and stir to combine. Roll into evenly sized balls, and coat with coconut flakes. Chill in the fridge over night.

Note: These keep in the fridge for many days and freeze well! They’ll make a great mid-morning snack, post-workout boost, or afternoon pick me up.
