My daughter really liked this milk for her cereal. She said she couldn't tell the difference between regular and this barley milk. It was an awesome alternative.

Barley "milk"
I was excited to try barley milk for the first time. The ingrdient list was fairly clean but ultimately it lacked in flavor and texture. I was expecting some creaminess with mixing but was left watery and unappetizing as I used it in hot coffee.
DIY fermented barley milk - surprisingly great!
Used Golden Wing Barley Milk as a base for homemade fermented yogurt using my Instant Pot and non-dairy starter, and the results were impressive. The barley milk fermented beautifully, developing a nice tang that rivals traditional dairy yogurt. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it held up during the fermentation process. The final product had a mild, slightly nutty flavor that worked great with cereal and nuts. Great alternative for anyone wanting to experiment with plant-based milk.
Couldn't bring myself to try it ...
I really wanted to like this barley milk, but when I opened it and poured it into a measuring cup for a recipe, I just couldn't get past the color. It is a very unappetizing grey. I just couldn't get myself to be ok with trying milk that color.
Great healthy vegan alternative
recently gave barley milk a try, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. First off, the shelf-stable packaging is super convenient—I can stock a few cartons in the pantry without worrying about fridge space. As a vegan, it’s great to have another plant-based milk option, especially one that’s not almond or oat for a change. Barley milk has a really smooth texture and a slightly nutty, creamy flavor that works well in coffee, cereal, or even just on its own. Nutrition-wise, it’s got a solid profile with added vitamins and minerals, and it’s usually low in sugar depending on the brand. I also like that it’s a more sustainable grain, which makes it feel like a smart choice all around. If you’re looking to mix up your dairy-free options, barley milk is definitely worth a try—it might just surprise you like it did me.
Very nice
I had never heard of barley milk so I was excited to try, I thought it tasted real nice in my morning coffee and bowl of muesli I haven’t try it in anything else yet.
Great shelf stable
This had never heard of the brand before so I was excited to try it. This is a great shelf stable milk option that can be used easily to replace cows milk.
Great milk replacer
It’s a great cow milk replacer. I wouldn’t use it for drinking. I would use it for baking or smoothies. Not great on taste. I look typically for allergen free milks, and this does contain some allergies. So that’s the only downfall for this milk.!
EHH
Barley in my personal situation would not be a milk alternative choice for me. It just doesn't work well as a substitute for me. I would much rather coconut or almond milk.
Mild and creamy
i was surprised how mild this was given that it’s barley. i expected a stronger aftertaste but did not experience one at all, other than a little nuttiness
